Honour the elderly
We honour the elderly by providing long-term solutions for their housing and well-being. Through our work with the elderly who are facing financial challenges, we aim to not only help them survive but also thrive and flourish. Giving them dignity and respect in their old age.
We teach young people about respect, equality, and dignity.
We educate boys and girls on valuing themselves and others, stressing the importance of respect in all relationships. We provide essential items such as pants and reusable sanitary pads to girls, enabling them to focus on their education without any disruptions. Join our Freedom Project to help create a safer and more inclusive world for everyone.
Wells – Kenya
CiCA is dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of young girls. In Kenya, we are committed to digging wells in communities where access to water is limited. Currently, young girls bear the responsibility of collecting water from distant rivers and streams, often leaving their homes early in the morning while it is still dark and unsafe. The long and arduous journey also affects their ability to attend school. By providing wells in these communities, we aim to alleviate this burden and create opportunities for these young girls to pursue their education without hindrance and in safety.
Travellers Rest – Zambia
provides a secure and caring home for elderly individuals in Zambia who do not have any living relatives to take care of them. We believe that every elderly person deserves a place to call home filled with love and respect.
Baby “Kangaroo” Care – Zimbabwe
Kangaroo Bay, a hospital unit in rural Zimbabwe, provides essential care for underweight and preterm babies. Through constant skin-to-skin contact between the baby and mother, this unique care significantly improves the survival rate of vulnerable infants. Kangaroo Bay is the only facility of its kind in the region, with some mothers traveling over 30 km to access it, often arriving months ahead of their due date due to the challenging journey. Inspired by their incredible work, CiCA supports Kangaroo Care by sourcing preterm baby clothes, providing wool for dedicated “Grandmas” who knit countless beanie hats, and supplying sanitary wear for new mothers in the unit.
